National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE):
The purpose of the NSBE is to educate and enlighten minorities on the opportunities available to them in the various fields of engineering and other technical disciplines. NSBE is dedicated to the retention of minorities in engineering programs. NSBE assists students professionally, academically, socially, and personally.

Society of Women Engineers (SWE):
SWE is a non-profit educational service organization dedicated to making known the need for women engineers and encouraging young women to consider an engineering education. The Society of Women Engineers stimulates women to achieve full potential in careers as engineers and leaders, expands the image of the engineering profession as a positive force in the quality of life, and demonstrates the value of diversity.

Graduate Engineering Student Association (GESA):
The Graduate Engineering Student Association serves as the voice of all graduate students in the College of Engineering and to improve the quality of life for these graduate students while studying at North Carolina A&T State University.

Tau Beta Pi:
Tau Beta Pi is a National Engineering Honor Society founded in 1885. The North Carolina Epsilon Chapter was founded at North Carolina A & T State University in February 1986, and is the 199th chapter in the nation. Membership is open to outstanding students in all engineering disciplines. Because of their distinguished achievements and reputation for service, Tau Beta Pi members are the leaders in the student tutoring and similar assistance programs.

The purpose of NSPE is to provide professional activities for students. Interaction with professional engineers from the parent organization Professional Engineers of North Carolina (PENC) is encouraged and several joint activities occur each year.
