| National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE): |

The purpose of the
NSBE is to educate and
enlighten minorities on the opportunities available to them in the
various fields of engineering and other technical disciplines. NSBE is
dedicated to the retention of minorities in engineering programs. NSBE

| Society of Women Engineers (SWE): |

SWE is a
non-profit educational service organization dedicated to making known
the need for women engineers and encouraging young women to consider an
engineering education. The Society of Women Engineers stimulates women
to achieve full potential in careers as engineers and leaders, expands
the image of the engineering profession as a positive force in the

Tau Beta Pi
is a National Engineering Honor Society founded in 1885. The North
Carolina Epsilon Chapter was founded at North Carolina A & T State
University in February 1986, and is the 199th chapter in the nation.
Membership is open to outstanding students in all engineering
disciplines. Because of their distinguished achievements and reputation
for service, Tau Beta Pi members are the leaders in the student tutoring
