Installing X-TOOLSS
Windows 98/2000/XP
Run the setup program and follow the directions. The default installation directory is C:\Program Files\X-TOOLSS.
After the installation is finished, you can run X-TOOLSS by going to Start Menu → All Programs → X-TOOLSS and clicking on the ACI icon.
Other Platforms
Unzip the contents of the distribution file into the directory of your choice. The directory should then contain the following files:
- genevot.jar - The JAR file containing the GENEVOT library
- xtoolss.jar - The executable JAR file for the X-TOOLSS application
- README - A file with these instructions
The genevot.jar file must remain in the same directory as the xtoolss.jar file. Additionally, you will need to install the latest JRE (minimum 5.0), available at the Java download page.
On some systems, double-clicking the xtoolss.jar file will automatically start the X-TOOLSS application. If this does not
work, you can run X-TOOLSS from the command line, by typing java -jar xtoolss.jar
