The North Carolina A&T State University FUTURES grants is pleased to offer A&T Alumni the opportunity to make a difference in the life of a future AGGIE.

aggiEmentor and The MentorNet© One-on-One Mentoring Programs are recruiting A&T Alumni in the areas of Engineering, Science, Math and Technology to serve as E-mentors for students in these majors.

This is a free service provided through the NCA&T Futures grant and only requires 20 minutes of your time.  This could become a priceless mentoring opportunity to a current student.

MentorNet's One-on-One Mentoring Programs will pair an A&T undergraduate engineering, science, mathematics, or technology student with Aggie professionals from all sectors as mentors for one-on-one, email-based mentoring (e-mentoring) relationships. The program has proven effective
by providing "real world" information, encouragement, advice, and access to networks that are otherwise often unavailable to those underrepresented in the fields of engineering and science.

Benefits of Being Mentored
  • Increased confidence in your career field
  • Greater desire to pursue a career in your chosen field
  • Increased interest in working in industry or a government laboratory
