Engineers Week (E-Week) at North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University is dedicated to raising the level of public awareness in the disciplines of engineering, math and science. The dates of E-Week are February 17-23, 2008. The theme for this year is: “Engineers Make a World of Difference.” The College of Engineering at NC A&T will echo the national campaign and will provide activities that commemorate this event and that share the positive message around the world. E-Week at NC A&T helps students reach into the global business world for guidance, ideas and encouragement as they go forward in their careers. Activities planned for the week will include seminars that focus on professional development, a Pre-College Initiative Day, E-Week Banquet, Career Fair and other activities. This year, the College of Engineering is partnering with the Office of Career Services to sponsor the Spring Career Fair. To register for the career fair (formerly E-Week Career Fair) and the E-Week Banquet, please see the link below. Additional K-12 outreach activities include a demonstration by the FIRST Robotics Team and a seminar entitled “Introduce a Girl to Engineering” hosted by the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) student chapter. SWE will visit several local middle schools and high schools to promote engineering, math and science among female students. E-Week seminar topics will include: Projecting Professionalism, Financing and Money Management, Entrepreneurship, and Professional Etiquette. The celebration of E-Week is a major part of the “Engineering Experience” at NC A&T State University, where we take students from diverse walks of life and develop them into high quality engineers.Major Activities
