The Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering was established in 1977.
Twelve full time, and two part-time professors serve the Department. There are laboratories for Product, Process, and Facility Design; Manufacturing Processes and Systems; Automated Assembly and Packaging; Logistics and Warehousing; Human Performance; Human Machine Interface and Controls; Management and Simulation Systems; and Information Systems.
The Industrial and Systems Engineering Department enjoys support from the College of Engineering, the University and the local industries. In addition to the Bachelor of Science program in Industrial Engineering, the ISE Department offers the Master of Science in Industrial Engineering as well as the Doctor of Philosophy in Industrial Engineering degrees.
