GEOMATICS ENGINEERING >> FOR FURTHER INFORMATION
THE GEOMATICS PROGRAM IS UP AND RUNNING.
The first official semester was Fall of 2006 with approximately 14 students enrolled in either GEOM 210 - Cartography or GEOM 320 – otogrammetry and Remote Sensing.

The student population consists of traditional 4-year students, distance learners representing geographic areas from the coast to the mountains, students from the Surveying Technology programs at Community Colleges, and students with existing 4-year degrees that are seeking new career options and have returned to earn a BS in Geomatics.

Starting in January 2007, the Geomatics Program has a new faculty member – Dr. Jerry Nave, PLS, EdD. Dr. Nave comes to us from the Surveying program at East Tennessee State University where he was actively involved in the growth of that ABET accredited program. We are very thrilled that he has joined our faculty.

For Spring of 2007, courses being offered are
  1. CIEN 366 – Hydraulics and Hydrology
  2. GEOM 340 – Adjustment Computations I
  3. GEOM 310 – Geographic Information Systems
  4. GEOM 450 – Subdivision Design
These courses are being taught on campus as well as on line.
